Question: Do we say that according to Isaiah 58 verse 6, true fasting includes righteousness, or true fasting is righteousness?

IMO; true fasting is PREPARITRY to prayer; and one way of thinking of it is “clearing the decks”, i.e. the mind and heart, for the prayer battle about to take place!

A good example is that of Daniel, when he went into prayer mode for Israel; which was/is for the eventual “Ammi” condition before Almighty God; he knowing full well that the local Satanic Powers were suppressing prayer.

For the Christian (Christ-One); because of their standing in Christ Jesus; prayer can be as breathing; moment by moment in life; but on special occasions; “clear the decks” for battle!
